St. Joseph’s School of Music will host a piano recital given by Tim Kraack
Friday, February 27 at 7pm in the Recital Hall
St. Joseph’s School of Music alumnus and current faculty member Tim Kraack has degrees in performance and pedagogy from St. Olaf College and the University of Illinois. His teachers include William Heiles, Christopher Atzinger, Reid Alexander and St. Joseph’s School of Music teacher Mary DeVries. In addition to teaching piano and coaching voice at St. Joseph's, Tim is the Music Director for children's theater program Theater E3, accompanist for the choirs at St. Paul Academy and Summit School, and is a songwriter and composer working in both popular and classical styles.
The recital, titled “America at the Piano”, will feature eclectic piano literature by American composers spanning the last 200 years. All are welcome to come enjoy a wide variety of music that includes selections by Amy Beach, Frederic Rzewski, and Dave Brubeck.
