SUZUKI METHOD Flute, Violin, Viola, Cello, Guitar, Piano The Suzuki method emphasizes listening, ear training, and the building of memory skills. Best for when the student is under seven years old, it is based on the "Mother Tongue Method" of hearing and repeating. One parent attends each lesson, learns with the child, and becomes the home teacher. In the beginning, using the Twinkle Theme as a basis, the student learns the fundamentals of technique, posture, fingering, intonation, ear-training, memory and performance skills.
One parent is recommended to arrange a one-on-one consultation with a Suzuki teacher near the beginning of a child's Suzuki training. Please call the school to make arrangements. We also have a Suzuki library to offer Suzuki parents, books and DVDs can be checked out for further reference at home.
